Ms. Hou Li attended seminars for Japanese corporations and associated offices

Recently, at the invitations of Japanese patent offices and chemical and pharmaceutical corporations, the senior partner patent attorney of MY IP FIRM, Ms. Hou Li made presentations at the seminars to introduce her professional experience and opinions in related to the concerned issue of “Submission of additional experiment data in the course of responding Office Actions for Chinese patent applications” in Japan.

By combination of case studies on actual invalidation trial and re-examination cases and judicial precedents, Ms. Hou shed light on the differences in the examination practices between Japan and China and provided suggestions how to possibly overcome lack of inventive-step by providing additional experiment data. The seminars were well received and Ms. Hou also exchanged ideas and thoughts with the audience.
